PHILIPPE WYFFELS, Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Wyffels leads all financial aspects of DOSECC operations, and brings a career driven by proven strengths in finance and operations. From start-up to merger, diversification and international expansion, he has effectively developed and led teams in a variety of executive capacities—from IT to fundraising to business development. Mr. Wyffels is also a principal in Bruges Franchising and plays a key role in the ongoing development of US franchise operations.
Prior to joining DOSECC, he acted as the Director of Operations at the Leonardo, a $25MM public-private partnership partially funded by a $10MM GO Bond from Salt Lake City Corporation, where he launched and managed finance, administrative, legal and human resources operations for both The Leonardo and the Utah Science Center to achieve non-profit “best practice” status in each arena.
Prior to that, Mr. Wyffels led a staff of 150 as the Chief Executive Officer of Internexus, a chain of language centers in the USA and Europe with revenues of $ 7.9 million, and over 5,000 students in over 40 countries. He restructured and supervised marketing and financial teams covering Asia, South America and Europe after the company spun off of Yazigi Internexus, where he served as Vice President of Business Development for the larger conglomerate prior to the post 9/11 market contraction. Mr. Wyffels doubled sales volume and expanded the brand into South America, including 300 locations in Brazil. During this time he oversaw a merger with a US chain and introduced language-training programs targeted to corporate client base.
Mr. Wyffels is known for his high level of personal organization and intense work ethic, his direct and compelling communication style, hands-on attitude, and commitment to continual learning—all of which have directly impacted the growing role DOSECC is taking in the industry.
